High-end appeal with affordable prices
La Santa Taqueria began as a simple food truck – a personal project for Chef Omar Montero of Mexico.
Chef Omar received an early introduction to authentic Mexican cuisine courtesy of his family’s catering business. It was that business that sparked his interest in the culinary arts.
He later went on to receive professional training at University Anahuac and, over the years, maintained a variety of prestigious positions at a plethora of restaurants, resorts and catering companies in Mexico City, Monterrey and Cancun before eventually moving to the States.
While in the States, he was mentored by the famous Chef Louis Pous and embarked on a variety of local projects including opening La Veinte Deli & Cafe (the sister restaurant to La Veinte in Brickell), co-founding Unique Catering Design and consulting for Copper29 Bar & Restaurant.
But La Santa Taqueria is Chef Omar’s first personal project.
The menu at La Santa Taqueria features a variety of classic Mexican street tacos including Al Pastor, Carnitas, Bistec y Queso, De Birria, De Chorizo and De Asada.
There’s also a variety of seafood dishes available including Soft Shell Crab and Baja Shrimp.
And of course, no Taqueria is complete without a selection of signature cocktails like classic Palomas and margaritas.
Entree pricing, at the time of this writing, ranges from $12-$16.
